Fotoremix

FOTOREMIX

Mountains and trolls are deep seated archetypes of the Norwegian consciousness. As a consequence, the subject is exhausted commercially, and especially in the marketing of Norway as a tourist destination.

Fotoremix is a cooperation project together with Bjørn Brochmann from the Oslo based Commandogroup. The series focuses on the relavent nature of national romanticism and is inspired by work of photographer Anders Wilse, known as the most influential Norwegian National Romantic photographer.

All the photographs are taken in Norwegian nature, from Troms to Telemark, and many images from Vestlandet. In this way Brochmann thinks it is important that Heinisch is not Norwegian, and that he sees the Norwegian landscape through his German/Slavic eyes.

The basic technique reflects the redundancy of the theme and function in contrast to the over manipulated photography of our modern age.

MALLORCAN

MALLORCAN

A collaboration project joined by Nicolaus Geyer, Marc Hillesheim and Hartmu Naegele in our second semester at Folkwang School in Essen.

The assignment brought us for one week to the most crowded tourist place on Mallorca. Against our expectation the whole area was transformed into a huge construction site. Crowds of elderly people, mostly widows, from all over Europe were planted among machines, still open cafes and compost, spending their winter holidays.

The book ” Mallorca , island in the sea of my dreams ” is our reaction on the surrealistic situation and marks an important change in my approach to photography. The text was written by Stephan Porombka.

PRESTUD

PRESTUD

Studies of still life work, which i have taken in my studio before becoming a  student in photography combined with images of different succulents from a private botanical garden. A professor in biology asked me to make portraits of these as a payment in return for loanings various animal, insects and organic artifacts.

Succulents fascinate me with their concept and variation in appearance and form, and i have lived with them since i was 16.
